Active Choice Workshop in Bosnien!

Das Internationale Komitee hat wochenlang hart daran gearbeitet den Active Choice Workshop in Bosnien zu organisieren. Die arbeit hat sich aber gelohnt. Am 31.oktober war es endlich so weit und wir sind nach Bosnien gereist,um dort den 2 Tage langen Workshop zu halten. Elisabeth Nilsen,die Leiteren des RCY in unserem Distrikt Vest Agder und Active Choice Instrukteurin,Linda Gjerde, unsere Journalistin und Fotografin und ich, auch Active Choice Instrukteurin und übersetzerin,sind nach Banja Luka gereist. Einer Deisz der Kommissar für Außenbeziehungen und Europäische Nachbarschaft, hat uns begleitet und war unser Persönlicher "Bodyguard":)

Das Hauptkomitee des Roten Kreuzes in Norwegen hat entschieden das unser Distrikt mit Krajina zusammenarbeitet. Am liebsten hätte ich eine zusammenarbeit mit Zentral Bosnien, aber das konnten wir nicht entscheiden. Oslo aber,wird demnächst mit Sarajevo zusammenarbeiten. Das freut mich sehr,denn nächstes Jahr werde ich nach Oslo ziehen und mich auch dort in der RCY gruppe engagieren. Vielleicht werde ich dann nächstes Jahr in Sarajevo einen Workshop halten. Das wär echt Super!

Der diesjährige Workshop hat aber in Banja Luka stattgefunden. Wir wollten eine Sightseeing Tour machen, und sind deswegen früher gereist. Nachdem wir in Zagreb gelandet waren, haben wir uns dort einwenig umgeschaut und sind dann weiter nach Banja Luka gefahren. Dort haben wir den großen Markt besucht und die alte Burg(Tvrđava Kastel), in der sich ein Restaurant befindet mit einer sehr schönen Aussicht.

Am Wochenende dann hat der Workshop stattgefunden und es waren 15 Teilnehmer anwesend aus dem ganzen Krajina Distrikt. Wir, die Instrukteure, haben den Teilnehmer beigebracht wie sie einen Active Choice Vortrag in Schulen halten können,auf eine Weise so das die Schüler es interessant finden und gerne zuhören. Unser Motto: Jugendliche verstehen und sprechen am besten mit anderen Jugendlichen!

Wir hatten sehr viel Spass zusammen, denn der Workshop bestand zum größten Teil aus Rollenspielen, Gruppenarbeiten, "Spielen" und Diskussionen. Am Sonntag war dann der zweite Teil des Workshops, mit dem Thema "Markieren des WeltAids Tages". Wir haben ihnen gezeigt wie wir den Welt AidsTag markieren durch Bilder und Videos und ihnen Tips und Rat gegeben. Durch Gruppenarbeit, sind aber noch viele gute und spannende Vorschläge und Ideen von den Teilnehmern dazu gekommen, was uns sehr positiv überascht hat.

Alles in allem war es einfach ein Super Erlebniss und die Mühen und Vorarbeiten im Bezug auf den Workshop haben sich echt gelohnt. Die Teilnehmer und RCY Gruppen in Bosnien haben sehr viel gelernt,wie auch wir. Viele Erfahrungen und Ideen wurden ausgetauscht,die hoffentlich dazu beitragen werden unsere RCY arbeit noch besser zu machen in Norwegen, wie auch in Bosnien. Ich kann es kaum erwarten den Welt Aids Tag mit den anderen Gruppen in unserem Distrikt zu markieren,mit so vielen spannenden und neuen Ideen. Mehr davon,erzähl ich ein anderes mal:)

The Fundamental Principles of the Red Cross

Red Cross Youth in Bosnien!

Zusammen mit dem "International Red Cross committee of Norway",werde ich nach Bosnien diesen Monat noch reisen. Dieses Jahr hat unser Distrikt eine zusammenarbeit mit der Red Cross Youth gruppe in Bosnien. Die Bosnische gruppe hatte den Wunsch die Aktivität "Active Choice" zu erlernen und auch lokal zu übernehmen.

Active Choice ist eine Aktivität, in der ausgebildete Instrukteure, anderen Jugendlichen mehr Wissen mitgeben über Geschlechtskrankheiten und wie man sich vor ihnen beschützt. Hir wird speziell auch auf das Thema "Aids" aufmerksam gemacht. Hir in Norwegen wird der WeltAids Tag am 1.Dezember von den Red Cross Youth gruppen im ganzen Land markiert. Wie wir diesen Tag in Norwegen markieren, werden wir der Bosnischen Gruppe auch zeigen und ihnen Tips geben für weitere Aktionen.

Es wird sicher super werden neue Leute kennenzulernen und vor allem meine geliebte Heimat zu besuchen! :)

The Magical Mother

"If the Earth could speak – I wonder what she would say to the human race?

Perhaps her first thoughts would be for the children of the world, who suffer so much in the name of religion, power and greed. But whats the point to think about the children, if there is no Earth for them to live upon? So perhaps her thoughts would be with the trees, the land and the rivers and to their preservation. But what point to think of the trees, the land and the rivers without the creatures that pollinate, distribute and seed the land and waters with new life?

So perhaps she would focus upon the creatures.

But what point to think of the creatures when one entire species is becoming extinct every hour of every day! Will they – too - not soon all be gone?
The Earth has all of these issues to contend with. Humanity is consuming so many of her resources that it is placing impossible pressures upon the eco-system. Our lifestyles are so self-centred, we all too often forget or ignore the levels of suffering going on at this very moment.

The following information was emailed to me recently and it is worth sharing with you now: “If you woke up this morning with more health than illness...you are more blessed than the million who will not survive this week. If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation...you are ahead of 500 million people in the world. If you can attend a religious meeting without fear of harassment, arrest, torture, or death...you are more blessed than three billion people across the globe. If you have food in the fridge, clothes on your back, a roof over your head and a place to sleep, you are richer than 75% of this world. And if you can read this, you are more blessed than over two billion people who cannot read at all. “ (end of email)

The Earth is calling for us to listen for the need, to see and feel the need and to act upon it! If the Earth could speak, perhaps she would say: “Search amongst the rocks at the edges of my being, to seek beyond the dual of dark and light, and so find the alchemy of love’s eternal quest blended from silver moon and golden sun into a universal song that sings this Earth. And from this sound – another world is born, one of beauty, colour and warmth. Keepers of this Blessed Garden - love this Earth that is your home. Do not forsake me - my children - remember why you are here.”

Never judge a person until you really know that person

Huh, Wer war das denn?

Heute als ich mit dem Buss von der Schule nach Hause fuhr, sah ich wie immer hinaus auf das Meer,und träumte mich weg in eine andere Welt. Plötzlich aber sahen mich zwei große schwarze Augen an aus dem Meer. Ich wusste erst gar nicht wer oder was das war, also sagte ich zu meiner Freundin, "Wer ist das da"?,und zeigte aud das kleine dicke graue Ding im Meer. Sie fing an zu lachen, weil ich so doof fragte, wie als ob es ein Monster oder Ungeheuer wär. Obwhol es doch nur eine kleine supersüsse Robbe war,die auf einem Stein saß und die Sonne genoss. Wow, dachte ich.. Diese niedlichen schwarzen kuller Augen gehen mir einfach nicht aus dem Kopf.. Mal sehen was ich nächstes mal so im Meer entdecke...Vieleicht einen Wal, oder so? :)
